What We Use
Universalvani uses minimal browser storage — we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Specifically:
- sessionStorage (cleared when you close your browser tab) — used at checkout to remember your name/email temporarily so your success page can greet you personally, and to keep the checkout scarcity counter/timer stable during your visit.
- localStorage (persists until cleared) — used for on-site features like your wishlist and recently-viewed books, stored only on your device, never sent to our servers.
- Payment gateway cookies — Razorpay and Cashfree may set their own cookies during the checkout process, governed by their respective privacy policies, to secure and process your payment.
- Hosting/security cookies — our hosting provider, Vercel, may use minimal cookies or headers for security and performance purposes.
What We Don't Use
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not sell any data collected via cookies or local storage to advertisers.
Managing Cookies
You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so may reset your wishlist, recently-viewed list, or an in-progress checkout session.
